ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) is introducing new housing schemes for people on its waiting list. The authority decided this in its 52nd Executive Board meeting. The meeting was held in Islamabad at the Ministry of Housing and Works.
Housing projects reviewed
Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada chaired the meeting and reviewed ongoing projects, recent developments and future plans. The minister said FGEHA was working on new housing schemes to provide residential facilities to people on the waiting list. He also directed authorities to accelerate pending housing projects and ensure their timely implementation and completion.
Meanwhile, the board reviewed arrangements for handing over possession to existing FGEHA allottees. The minister instructed officials to provide possession to people who already received plot allotments as soon as possible.
However, authorities will complete the required development work before handing over possession of the plots.
FGEHA reviews major projects
The meeting also reviewed progress on several ongoing housing projects, including developments in sectors F-14 and F-15. Officials also discussed the Margalla Orchard joint venture between FGEHA and the Defence Housing Authority. The minister said the government remained committed to completing ongoing projects and improving facilities for allottees.
Furthermore, the meeting reaffirmed plans to introduce additional housing schemes to accommodate people currently waiting for residential plots.
Officials also discussed measures to speed up development work and ensure practical implementation of approved projects. The authority aims to provide residential facilities to eligible allottees within the shortest possible time.
The ministry and FGEHA will continue monitoring ongoing developments and addressing issues affecting project completion. The latest decisions are expected to support efforts to expand housing opportunities for federal government employees and accelerate delivery of residential facilities.
