Housing Project Found Operating Without Required Approvals
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has ordered the sealing of marketing and site offices of Nilore Homes on Lehtrar Road after finding violations in its development process.
According to CDA officials, the housing scheme was operating without approval of its Layout Plan and without obtaining the required No Objection Certificate (NOC).
The authority stated that development activities were started without necessary permissions, violating the CDA Ordinance 1960, ICT Zoning Regulations 1992 and rules governing private housing schemes.
Notices Issued Before Enforcement Action
The CDA said the scheme’s sponsors had already received multiple notices and show-cause notices.
The notices directed them to stop development work, marketing activities, sale and purchase of plots, allotments and transfers.
The authority also instructed the sponsors to remove or demolish unauthorized buildings and structures.
However, CDA officials said the required approvals were not obtained and illegal activities continued.
Following the violations, the Directorate of Regional Planning directed the CDA Directorate of Enforcement to seal the marketing and site offices of Nilore Homes.
CDA Expands Crackdown on Illegal Housing Schemes
Under existing regulations, CDA has the authority to seal offices linked with unapproved housing schemes.
This includes offices of sponsors, advertisers, operators, consultants, contractors, real estate agents and marketing partners involved in promoting illegal projects.
The authority has also requested action against unauthorized structures built within the scheme.
CDA further directed relevant utility providers to ensure electricity and gas connections are issued only according to approved layout plans and building regulations.
The action is part of CDA’s ongoing efforts to prevent unauthorized housing developments and protect citizens from investing in unapproved projects.
