The federal government has announced a new round of appointments, transfers, and retirements. These changes aim to streamline administrative operations across key departments.
Moreover, the Establishment Division issued multiple notifications outlining the latest decisions. These updates affect several officers from the Secretariat Group and Office Management Group.
Key Appointments and Transfers Announced
According to official notifications, Iftikhar Ahmed Khan has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Cabinet Division. Meanwhile, Muhammad Naqeeb Ahmed will serve as Deputy Secretary in the Maritime Affairs Division.
In contrast, Zafar Iqbal, previously serving in the Maritime Affairs Division, has been transferred. He has been directed to report to the Establishment Division.
Additionally, Azmat Ali, a Grade 19 officer from the Secretariat Group, has received a new assignment. His services have been placed under the Council of Common Interests Secretariat.
Retirement Notifications Issued for Senior Officers
Furthermore, the government has announced retirement dates for two senior officers. Yawar Hussain Rana, Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Works, will retire on September 5, 2026.
Similarly, Mutasim Ballah Rana, Deputy Secretary in the Finance Division, will retire on January 21, 2027. These scheduled retirements reflect routine administrative transitions.
Leave Approval for Finance Division Officer
Meanwhile, Shahryar Ahmed, Deputy Secretary in the Finance Division, has been granted leave. He will remain on one year leave without pay starting April 8, 2026.
After completing the leave period, he will report back to the Establishment Division. This move aligns with standard leave policies for civil servants.
Training Program for Newly Posted Officers
In addition, the Establishment Division has taken steps to strengthen future administrative capacity. A total of 38 officers from the Office Management Group, BS-17, have been posted as Section Officers on probation.
They will undergo a Specialized Training Program at the Secretariat Training Institute in Islamabad. This training will begin on April 24, 2026.
These officers recently completed the 53rd Common Training Program. Therefore, the new assignment marks the next phase of their professional development.
List of Officers Included in Training Placement
The officers selected for training include Sania Saeed, Aqib Shaukat, Qamar Abbas, and Fatima Shakeel. The list also includes Kaleemullah, Zarak Mehsud, Fatima Mehr, and Javed Iqbal.
Moreover, Hassan Ali Mehsud, Basharat Ali Khan, Muhammad Bahram, and Zia Khan Dawar are part of the group. Other names include Farman Ali, Shian Sami, and Hammad Hassan.
In addition, Muhammad Nooruddin Zangi, Bibi Maneha, Abdul Ali, and Surat Khan have been included. Miss Iram, Safia Afzal, and Sana Rehman Khan are also on the list.
Furthermore, Sahar Batool Khan, Shen Taj, Sadaf Sabir, and Jeevan have been selected. Bheesh Kumar, Pooja, and Afaq Ahmed Khan are also among the officers.
The list continues with Syed Ahsan Shah, Moalim Afzal, Abdul Basit, and Salar Baloch. Mukhtar Ali, Muhammad Jahangir, and Syed Abidullah are included as well.
Finally, Rashida Arshad, Maryam Sabir Hussain, and Zakia complete the list of selected officers.
