ISLAMABAD: TikToker and dermatologist Fazeela Abbasi secured an extension in her interim pre-arrest bail on Monday in a case related to an allegedly illegal clinic, according to reports.
Special Judge Central Humayun Dilawar granted the relief during a hearing, directing Abbasi to cooperate with investigators and join the ongoing inquiry. The accused appeared before the court along with her counsel, Naeem Bukhari, and submitted a pre-arrest bail application.
The court approved the interim bail against surety bonds worth Rs50,000 and adjourned the matter until May 5 for further proceedings. The judge emphasized the importance of compliance with the investigation process as the case moves forward.
According to officials, the Federal Investigation Agency has registered two cases against Abbasi over the alleged operation of an illegal clinic. In addition, she is currently on bail in a separate money laundering case, which remains under adjudication.
Earlier developments show that the Islamabad High Court restored Abbasiโs interim bail in the money laundering case and instructed her to approach the trial court. This followed the dismissal of her pre-arrest bail plea by a special judge due to her non-appearance during a scheduled hearing.
In a written order, the court had rejected her request for exemption on medical grounds, terming it a misuse of bail concessions. Subsequently, Abbasi sought relief from the Islamabad High Court, which granted interim protection.
The latest extension provides temporary relief, while legal proceedings in both cases continue.
