NATHIA GALI: Pakistani actress and a renowned television host Farah Saadia cautioned tourists about a fruit scam in Nathia Gali, a famous tourist-resort. She urged visitors to inspect roadside purchases carefully before buying fruit.
In a video shared from the popular hill station, Farah claimed that some vendors sell leaf cones advertised as fresh local cherries. However, she alleged that the cones contain only a few cherries on top, while the remaining space is filled with leaves and unripe, sour plums.
Actress Urges Honest Selling Practices
While showing the contents of one cone, Farah said the fruit being marketed as cherries was actually unripe plums arranged to appear more attractive. Consequently, she questioned why some vendors choose to mislead customers instead of selling their products honestly.
According to Farah, tourists would still purchase the fruit if vendors clearly identified it. Therefore, she appealed to sellers to market their produce truthfully and avoid deceptive practices that could damage the area’s reputation.
Tourists Advised to Inspect Purchases
In a follow-up video, Farah encouraged visitors to examine fruit carefully before making a purchase. She stressed that tourists visit Nathia Gali to enjoy authentic organic local products and should receive exactly what they pay for.
