Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments.
According to Tรผrkiyeโs Directorate of Communications, the leaders reviewed Tรผrkiye-US relations and several broader geopolitical issues.
During the call, Erdogan stressed the importance of using diplomacy to address tensions between Iran and the United States.
He said Tรผrkiye wants negotiations to continue and will maintain its support for peace efforts.
Moreover, Erdogan highlighted Tรผrkiyeโs commitment to regional stability through the Joint Defence Agreement signed with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
He said the agreement demonstrates a strong stance toward strengthening regional security and stability.
The Turkish president also discussed the situation in Palestine and developments surrounding the Gaza peace process.
Erdogan noted increased Israeli actions against Palestinians as efforts continue to transition toward the second phase of the Gaza peace process.
He stressed that Tรผrkiye will continue supporting lasting peace across the region.
Furthermore, Erdogan pledged continued Turkish support for efforts aimed at rebuilding Gaza after the conflict.
