Ushna Shah deactivates her Instagram account after being ‘bullied’

Pakistani golf player Hamza Amin and actor Ushna Shah tied the knot recently, with their photos and videos going viral on social media.

Actor Ushna Shah deactivated her Instagram account on Wednesday.

After receiving vicious trolling on social media, she now wants to put a stop to the weeks-long commotion around her wedding.

Shah decided to take a break from social media for a few days to spend time with her husband, Australian golfer Hamza Amin.

She was accused of bullying a blogger for bringing a photographer with a drone to her wedding when the invite was only for the blogger, which started the controversy.

However, Shah issued a public apology within hours and wanted to move on and enjoy her big day.

Ushna Shah apologised publicly to fashion blogger AB Lakhani after she accused him of sneaking a drone into her wedding and sharing her photos without her consent.

Ushna chastised Lakhani on Monday for breaking the rules of his invitation by bringing a plus-one, photographer Saad Ahsan, and a drone to document personal moments, including her nikkah.

But, Ushna apologised for defaming Lakhani on social media and accepted that she made a mistake. She also acknowledged the power and effect of social media, as well as the need of prioritising mental health above social media approval.

Moreover, She confronted a photographer in the first part of the two-part story after he released “unflattering” pictures of her from her wedding, which multiple portals then picked up.
