TikToker Dolly faces tax evasion charges: PRA recovers Rs4.4 million from her bank accounts

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: TikToker Nosheen Saeed, popularly known as Dolly, has been found guilty of evading Rs16 million in taxes.

The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has taken action in this matter, attaching Dolly’s bank accounts. The Authority has successfully recovered Rs4.4 million in unpaid taxes from her bank accounts.

The PRA is now considering the possibility of seizing Dolly’s properties to retrieve the remaining tax amount.

A spokesperson for the PRA stated that despite running a beauty salon in Gulberg, Nosheen had been avoiding her tax obligations to the provincial treasury. Despite serving notices, the TikToker failed to submit the taxes owed to the PRA.

After multiple notices and non-compliance from the social media sensation, PRA Commissioner Misbah Nawaz issued the order to recover the outstanding taxes from Dolly.

Dolly first gained fame last year when one of her controversial videos went viral on social media. The video showed two individuals setting fire to a forest in the Margalla Hills in Islamabad for what they claimed was a “dramatic effect” in their TikTok video.

In response to this incident, the Islamabad Police filed a case against Dolly for her alleged involvement in setting fires in the Margalla forest.

The case was registered on the complaint of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) under wildlife and environmental protection laws, following the viral video of Dolly posing against the backdrop of a burning forest.

However, Dolly vehemently denied any involvement in the forest fire. She took to her official Instagram account to post a clarification video, asserting that she had no part in setting the forest ablaze.

In her video, she expressed disappointment with social media for spreading false information and causing problems for celebrities.

Dolly also challenged her viewers to investigate her travel history, claiming that she had not been to National Park Kohsar in years, thereby refuting the allegations made against her.
