A South Korean survival drama television series called “squid game” was produced by Hwang Dong-hyuk for Netflix.
Squid Game, a South Korean drama, won its first Emmys on Sunday.
In the dystopian Netflix Inc. series Ji Young, played by Lee You-mi, a young woman forced to compete in a perilous search for wealth after being released from prison, received the award outstanding guest drama actress at the Creative Arts Emmys.
The actress exclaimed in English, “I’m so very delighted!” as she won the award on stage at a theatre in downtown Los Angeles after speaking briefly in Korean.
The Creative Arts Emmys recognised guest performers as well as artists who work in the background, such as sound engineers, hair stylists, and cinematographers.
