Today, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg turns 40 years old, and rumors indicate that he is celebrating his birthday aboard his new superyacht, Launchpad.
A few days ago, Zuckerberg’s $300 million superyacht, along with his $30 million support vessel named “Wingman,” turned off their automatic identification system as they departed Florida heading south.
According to public ship-tracking data reported by Business Insider, the 118-meter mega yacht and the support vessel arrived in Panama on Monday, one day prior to Zuckerberg’s birthday.
On the same day, the tech billionaire’s private jet also landed in Panama, as per a private jet tracker.
Although it remains unclear whether the tech mogul actually owns the yacht, as the vessel’s builder, Feadship, refuses to disclose private information, several other indicators suggest a connection to Zuckerberg.
Photos of Launchpad available on the industry site SuperYacht Times reveal features such as a helipad and a swimming pool on the main deck.
As reported by Business Insider, the massive vessel has the capacity to accommodate dozens of guests and crew members, featuring an expansive gym, a spa, a movie room, and a garage capable of fitting numerous vehicles.
Zuckerberg’s association with Launchpad first surfaced in December following reports of his visit to Feadship’s shipyard in the Netherlands.
In March, yachting bloggers such as eSysman SuperYachts and Autoevolution speculated that he had officially acquired the boat, which is also registered under the Marshall Islands flag, a US territory commonly used by American buyers to register their ships.
