The Hollywood Hunk revealed to The Financial Times that he sought companionship from his friends Nick Cave and Thomas Houseago, who were dealing with their own issues at the time.
“Our mutual misery became comic,” said the star. “And out of this misery, a flame of joy arose in my life.” I’d always wanted to be a sculptor, and I’d always wanted to give it a shot.”
“I was looking at my own life and really concentrating on owning my own s-t: where was I complicit in failures in my relationships, where have I misstepped,” Pitt said of his artwork.
“It was born out of ownership of what I call a radical inventory of self, getting really brutally honest with myself, and taking account of those I may have hurt,” he continued.
Pitt and Jolie split up after a 12-year relationship in 2016 after a fight on their now-famous private jet flight.
