Recently, the movie took a new turn in Pakistan’s discussions, revealing the presence of a Pakistani actress within its cast.
Shafina Shah, featured as Bobby Deol’s character’s wife in the film, hails from London but holds strong ties to Pakistan. Her lineage traces back to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, through her mother’s roots.
Entertainment runs in Shafina Shah’s bloodline, with her father also being a part of the industry. Her mother’s move to England led to her marriage to Indian star Haji Ismail Raj Patel, known for his role in the British sitcom “Mind Your Language.” Shah portrayed the role of Abrar’s (Bobby Deol) second wife, sharing the screen with Ranbir Kapoor in select scenes.
Having dual nationalities, Shah reaps the benefits of both countries. In May 2023, she claimed the title of ‘Miss Pakistan World 2023’ at a ceremony held in Lahore’s Grand Palm Hotel.
Ms Shafina Shah is now set to represent Pakistan on the global stage, eyeing the titles of ‘Miss Global 2023’ and ‘Miss Universal 2023’.
Her accomplishments extend beyond acting and modeling; Shah has also ventured into philanthropy. In September 2023, she joined the ‘Cleft Lip and Palate Association (PCLAPA),’ dedicating herself to supporting children with facial deformities in Pakistan.
