ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has invited electronic bids for the construction of Capital House project in Islamabad. The project involves the construction of a new government complex in Sector F-5 in the capital city. The construction of the project is estimated at Rs 3.2 billion.
According to the CDA officials, bidding documents will be available from July 20, while interested engineering firms and joint ventures can submit proposals through the CDA’s electronic procurement system until August 31, 2026.
Bidding process moves forward
The CDA said technical bids will be opened on August 31 at 11:30am. Moreover, the authority clarified that it will accept only electronic submissions, while manual bids will not be considered. The selected contractor will execute the project on a turnkey basis, covering every stage of construction and development.
The authority approved the project in November 2025 after the CDA board, chaired by Muhammad Ali Randhawa, cleared its PC-I. Since then, officials have completed the design phase and prepared the project for construction.
New complex to improve administration
Capital House will follow the model of existing provincial government residences in Islamabad, including Punjab House, Sindh House, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, Balochistan House, Kashmir House and Gilgit House. Officials said the facility will provide office space and official accommodation for the capital administration.
The project will centralize administrative functions and improve government efficiency. Officials expected the completion of the project within one year. For this purpose, funds will be released on time along with completion of necessary formalities.
