Bank of China opens its branch
ISLAMABAD: Bank of China opens its branch in Islamabad on Monday. The development is part of the three-day visit of Vice Premier of China He Lifeng to Pakistan. Mr. Lifen arrived in Islamabad on Sunday evening.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar launched the Bank of China in Islamabad. It marks a momentous occasion as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

This inauguration ceremony signifies a milestone in deepening the economic ties between China and Pakistan.
The finance minister expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chinese authorities for their unwavering support to Pakistan during challenging times. He credited China’s instrumental role in helping Pakistan successfully overcome various economic difficulties.
Furthermore, Ishaq Dar proudly shared positive statistics on Pakistan’s economic performance. He said that the nation is experiencing an upward trajectory of improvement. He highlighted that international rating agencies have raised Pakistan’s credit rating.
Minister Dar asserted, “With our resilient efforts, we have emerged from tough times, and now we embark on a journey of growth.”
He expressed his optimism for the future, envisioning the Chinese currency, the Yuan, becoming a widely accepted alternative currency in the global arena.
As CPEC celebrates its 10th anniversary, the joint venture continues to serve as a transformative project. It is paving the way for closer economic ties and regional connectivity between China and Pakistan.
