Supreme Court to Recruit 18 Law Clerks
Under the Law Clerkship Program 2026, the Supreme Court will recruit 18 law clerks.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants with a BA-LLB degree must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or its equivalent.
Meanwhile, candidates holding an LL.B (Honours) degree must have obtained Second Class Honours Upper Division or an equivalent qualification.
Final-year law students are also eligible to apply. However, they must complete all degree requirements before the clerkship begins.
Furthermore, applicants must have completed their qualifying law degree within four years of the application deadline.
How Will Candidates Be Selected?
The Supreme Court will assess applications through a comprehensive evaluation process.
The selection process will consider legal research ability, academic performance, practical experience, motivation for public service, and interview performance.
The assessment includes the following weightage:
- Writing and Research Skills โ 15%
- Academic Track Record โ 15%
- Experience and Practical Exposure โ 15%
- Motivation, Values, and Public Service Alignment โ 5%
- Interview โ 50%
Interview Carries the Highest Weightage
The interview forms the most important part of the selection process, carrying 50 percent of the total evaluation.
During the interview, candidates may be assessed on several areas.
These include legal understanding, analytical ability, communication skills, professional judgment, temperament, professionalism, and overall suitability for judicial work.
