KARACHI: Dr Mahnoor Nasir, the female doctor injured in an acid attack in Quetta, has undergone a minor skin grafting procedure in Karachi as part of her ongoing treatment, hospital sources said.
According to hospital officials, plastic surgeons performed minor grafting procedures on her face to assist the healing process. Doctors said the treatment remains routine and does not require any major surgical intervention.
Medical sources confirmed that no major operation has been carried out so far. Moreover, physicians have not planned any significant surgery at this stage. Instead, the medical team will continue minor procedures as needed during her recovery.
Meanwhile, Dr Mahnoor Nasir underwent a comprehensive medical assessment for the third time on Tuesday. Doctors conducted the evaluation to closely monitor her condition and determine further treatment requirements.
Her care is being supervised by a multidisciplinary team that includes plastic surgeons and ophthalmologists. Hospital officials said specialists are working together to ensure the best possible outcome for the patient.
Doctors confirmed that she sustained injuries to her face, including the outer areas around her eyes, lips and nose. Furthermore, medical teams have performed a series of diagnostic tests to assess the full extent of the injuries and monitor her recovery progress.
Hospital sources reported that her condition remains stable. They also stated that her family is satisfied with the treatment and medical support being provided.
