The highly anticipated Cholistan Desert Rally has officially been scheduled and is set to take place in the vast desert landscape of Bahawalpur from February 4 to February 8. The announcement was made during an inauguration ceremony held on Friday, marking the beginning of preparations for one of Pakistan’s most thrilling motorsport events.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Adviser to the Prime Minister Sardar Yasir Ilyas, who praised the rally’s growing impact on regional tourism and cultural promotion.

TDCP Highlights Rally’s Role in Boosting Tourism
Speaking at the event, Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP) Managing Director Asim Raza emphasised that the organisation is pursuing a comprehensive tourism strategy at both national and international levels.
He noted that the Cholistan and Thal Desert Rallies have played a pivotal role in elevating South Punjab as a leading tourism destination. Raza added that TDCP remains committed to organising large-scale cultural and recreational events that highlight Pakistan’s natural beauty and adventure tourism potential.
The Cholistan Desert Rally, now a major annual attraction, is expected to bring significant economic activity to the region and strengthen Pakistan’s motorsports landscape.
