The Thespianz Foundation is performing a stage drama “American Desi Family” in Chicago in January 2024.

Comedy Urdu Hindi Theatre Play name is “American Desi Family” which is directed by Faisal Malik, Associate Director: Sheikh Sameer Nadeem, and written by Injila Hamesh. Faisal Malik belongs to Karachi, Pakistan, and he is the founder of the Thespianz Foundation and known as an Icon in the performing art.

About the Play:
The relationship between spouses is naturally strong but closely related. To maintain this bond and prevent it from weakening or breaking, husband and wife must perform their duties with care and dedication. Nowadays, south Asian families are migrating to developed countries like America, Canada, and various European countries where lifestyles and behaviors are undergoing significant changes. Some men divorce their wives and marry foreign women in search of financial benefits and other incentives. The show effectively addresses the pressing issue of rising divorce rates in society through a light-hearted and entertaining narrative, plot, and presentation. It has been proven that even the most critical social issues can be addressed through entertaining and comedic creative endeavors. The plot revolves around four main characters which the director of the play Faisal Malik is also performing.
Directed by Faisal Malik:
Faisal Malik is the Artistic Director, Creator, and Founder of Thespianz Foundation. He directed 109 theater performances, 71 dance performances, and 712 educational workshops on artistic and cultural performances. He is a fellow of the Arts Management Fellowship Program at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., at the Department of State. Faisal Malik was nominated for the Pride of Performance award in the past.
Associate Director Sheikh Sameer Nadeem:
Sheikh Sameer Nadeem is a dedicated and experienced professional with a background in the performing arts who has been an integral part of the arts scene since 2016. As Associate Director and string puppetry expert, he has demonstrated “an exceptional commitment to the artistic aspect”. Excellence contributes significantly to the success of various theater productions and shines as a team leader. Sheikh Sameer Nadeem has performed above 650 puppetry performances and has been associate director for the theatre plays for last several years.

Injila Hamesh is a writer, poet, Hindi, and Sanskrit teacher, but also an author, poet, playwright, and translator. She has published her literary works in national and international literary magazines and websites: Rekhta (the largest portal for Urdu literature, Shebkhoon, Allahabad, Editor: Shams Ur Rahman Farooqi. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of “Tashkeel” and “Chiragh e Hamesh” Her literary works are translated into English and Hindi, she is the author of scripts for the channels “Hum” and “ARY”. She also translates plays into Hindi and English.
