Punjab Culture Day Marked with Festive Celebrations Across Province

Punjab Culture Day

Punjab Culture Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm across the province, as cities, towns, schools, and cultural centers came alive with vibrant events, traditional attire, folk performances, and community gatherings.

The day served as a heartfelt tribute to the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Punjab, uniting people in a collective celebration of their identity and traditions.

From Lahore to Lodhran, every corner of the province witnessed an outpouring of cultural pride. In his message on the occasion, Lahore Commissioner Zaid Bin Maqsood remarked that “Punjab’s culture is deeply cherished and recognized worldwide.”

He emphasized the role of such events in preserving the province’s heritage and connecting the younger generation to their ancestral values. “The turban is a proud symbol of Punjabi culture, representing self-respect and openness,” he added.

In Multan, schools marked the day with colorful activities. Students wore traditional Punjabi clothes, set up food stalls, and engaged in festive games and entertainment. CEO Education Dr. Safdar highlighted that the objective was to help students appreciate and take pride in their cultural roots.

Jhang’s cultural enthusiast and poet, Dr. Mohsin Maghiana, celebrated the day uniquely by adorning his house and clinic with traditional Punjabi décor. Calling the day a homage to the wisdom of elders, he stressed the importance of cultural continuity for future generations.

Bahawalnagar hosted a grand celebration at Haider Stadium, where Deputy Commissioner Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhawan and District Police Officer Kamran Asghar attended as chief guests.

The event featured archery, folk performances, and traditional stalls that attracted large crowds eager to reconnect with Punjabi customs.

In Ali Pur, Government Girls High School became a hub of festivities. Students dressed in cultural outfits, presented folk dances, and showcased food stalls, bringing Punjabi flavors and fashion to life.

Similarly, at Government Girls College Lodhran, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Lubna Nazir and Assistant Commissioner Erum Shehzadi graced a vibrant event filled with music, traditional food, and crafts.

A particularly striking celebration took place at the Faisalabad Arts Council. The event showcased classical stories like Heer Ranjha, folk songs performed by young girls, and energetic bhangra routines by male students.

The colorful outfits, soulful music, and enthusiastic audience created an atmosphere of unity and pride, reminding everyone of the timeless beauty of Punjabi traditions.

Punjab Culture Day not only celebrated heritage — it reignited a cultural flame across generations, fostering love, learning, and respect for the vibrant legacy of Punjab.
