The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has clarified how citizens can receive their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) after applying through mobile registration vans.
Applicants can choose between home delivery and collection from a NADRA office when submitting their applications. The authority has advised citizens to select their preferred option carefully to avoid delays.
Two Options for Receiving CNIC
According to a NADRA spokesperson, applicants who choose home delivery must provide a complete and accurate residential address.
Those who prefer office collection must collect their cards from the specific NADRA registration centre selected during the application process.
However, if applicants do not select a delivery option, NADRA staff will guide them to the nearest registration centre for collection.
Keep Application Receipt Safe
NADRA has advised applicants to keep their application receipts and tracking IDs safe. They will need these details when collecting their identity cards after the specified processing period.
Applicants should also confirm their selected delivery method at the time of registration. This can help prevent confusion and unnecessary visits to NADRA offices.
Mobile Vans Provide Registration Services
NADRA operates mobile registration vans to facilitate people living in remote, underserved and densely populated areas. These vans provide several services, including fresh CNIC applications, renewals, modifications and replacement cards.
The service allows citizens to complete registration procedures without travelling to a permanent NADRA centre. However, applicants must follow the relevant document and verification requirements. Citizens can contact NADRA’s helpline at 1777 for further guidance about their applications and card collection.
