The government has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) for the next week. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy, the revised fuel prices will take effect from 12:00 am and remain applicable for one week.
Petrol Price Increased
The Ministry of Energy has increased the price of petrol by Rs13.18 per litre.
Following the latest revision, the new petrol price has reached Rs310.71 per litre.
Motorists will pay the updated rate from midnight under the latest pricing notification.
High-Speed Diesel Also Becomes More Expensive
The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also been revised upward.
According to the notification, the government has increased the HSD price by Rs13.80 per litre.
As a result, the new price of high-speed diesel now stands at Rs323.30 per litre.
Revised Fuel Prices Effective for One Week
The Ministry of Energy confirmed that the revised petrol and diesel prices will become effective from 12:00 am tonight.
The new rates will remain in force for one week, after which the government may review fuel prices again under its regular pricing mechanism.
