Pakistan expels more Undocumented Afghans After Deadline Expires

ISLAMABAD: The repatriation of undocumented Afghan nationals and Afghan Citizen Card holders from Pakistan continues at a swift pace following the expiration of the official deadline for their voluntary departure.

On April 21 alone, authorities deported more than 3,956 undocumented Afghan residents. This brings the total number of illegal Afghan nationals who have exited Pakistan to 983,442.

Pakistani authorities are now enforcing stringent legal actions against foreign nationals and Afghan Citizen Card holders who remain in the country beyond the stipulated deadline.

The government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the repatriation process is carried out with dignity and respect.

Officials have affirmed that measures are in place to prevent any mistreatment of those being returned to their home countries.
