About 10,000 more Afghans repatriated on Wednesday Post-Deadline

Authorities have launched strict legal action against those who remain in Pakistan without proper documentation, including Afghan Citizen Card holders.

Pakistan has intensified its repatriation efforts for illegal residents and holders of Afghan Citizen Cards following the expiration of the official deadline to leave the country.

On April 23 alone, over 9,647 Afghan nationals without legal status were repatriated, raising the total number of deported individuals to 993,089, according to official figures.

Authorities have launched strict legal action against those who remain in Pakistan without proper documentation, including Afghan Citizen Card holders.

However, officials have reiterated that the process is being carried out with dignity and respect.

The government has assured the international community and rights groups that no individual will be mistreated during the deportation process and that all efforts are being made to ensure humane and orderly repatriation.
