During the sacred first 10 days of Ramadan, the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque reported an extraordinary influx of visitors, with over 10 million individuals converging upon the Prophet’s Mosque to partake in prayers and seek blessings.
Ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for all, the authorities meticulously provided high-quality services to facilitate the spiritual journey of worshippers.
According to official statistics, a staggering number of 9,818,474 worshipers and visitors visited the Prophet’s Mosque during a certain period. Out of these visitors, 739,702 individuals paid their respects at the Prophet’s tomb, highlighting the profound spiritual significance attached to this holy site.
In efforts to manage the vast crowds, the mosque implemented rigorous organizational procedures, meticulously controlling the movement of visitors and scheduling prayer times to accommodate both men and women.
Special attention was given to catering to the needs of elderly individuals and those with disabilities, resulting in 26,910 beneficiaries receiving tailored assistance. Furthermore, guidance services were provided to 132,893 visitors, offering spiritual direction and support to those seeking enlightenment.
In alignment with the spirit of Ramadan, the mosque distributed 195,800 bottles of Zamzam water, symbolizing purity and spirituality, while also embodying the essence of generosity by providing 2,908,530 Iftar meals to fasting individuals. These noble initiatives underscore the commitment of the authorities to foster an environment conducive to spiritual growth and communal harmony during the blessed month of Ramadan, exemplifying the values of compassion, service, and unity.
