Pakistan has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Rask police headquarters in southeastern Iran, expressing heartfelt condolences for the 11 Iranian officials killed and several others injured. The attack, claimed by a terrorist group, targeted Rask, a small city in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchistan province. In the ensuing gun battle with security forces, several attackers were killed. Similar incidents have occurred in the recent past, with four policemen killed in a July attack and five Iranian border guards losing their lives in clashes in May.
