IHC grants interim bail to Imran Khan till March 9 in Toshakhana case
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court today granted an interim bail to former prime minister Imran Khan in Toshakhana case till March 9.
Imran Khan appeared in the court on Tuesday afternoon after appearing in the ATC and Banking Tribunal. On the request of Khan’s lawyer, the Islamabad High Court gave interim bail to PTI chief Imran Khan.
On March 9, 2023, Khan will have to appear in the IHC.
Earlier, the Additional District and Sessions Judge issued non-bailable arrest warrants for former prime minister Imran Khan in Toshakhana reference case.
Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal issued the arrest warrant today.
Judge Zafar Iqbal issued non-bailable warrant at a time when Imran Khan was in the Islamabad High Court to appear in pre-arrest bail in this case.

Earlier, the anti-terrorism court (ATC) and Banking Tribunal today granted pre-arrest bail to the former prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan in two different cases.
Imran Khan appeared in two cases (out of four) _ the prohibited funding case and the “attempted murder” case.
The ATC and Banking Tribunal approved the bail of Imran Khan when he appeared in the courts on Tuesday at Noon.
Now Imran Khan reached the Islamabad High Court to appear in the Toshakhana case to seek pre-arrest bail. Till the filing of the report, Khan was at the IHC where he would appear in the court in a few minutes.
Earlier, scores of the PTI workers escorting former Prime Minister Imran Khan broke the main entrance gate, CCTV cameras of the Judicial Complex in Islamabad.
The PTI supporters also created a law and order situation at the complex during the appearance of PTI chairman in the court on Tuesday.
The banking tribunal summoned Imran Khan today in connection with his pre-arrest bail in the prohibited funding case.
Judge Rakhshanda Shaheen announced the reserved verdict 20 minutes after Khan appeared in the court.
Meanwhile, the Banking Court also confirmed the bail of the former prime minister.
On Tuesday Imran Khan is scheduled to appear before the courts in four different cases in Islamabad.
Khan arrived in Islamabad from Lahore on Tuesday through Motorway.
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Rakhshanda Shaheen heard the bail plea of Imran Khan.
Earlier, the ATC turned down the bail application of Imran Khan as he did not appear in court.
The former PM will also appear in the Toshakhana case in Islamabad High Court today.
Meanwhile, Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal will take up hearing ECP’s complaint against Khan. Imran Khan is facing a criminal case for protesting outside the ECP office.
Before the arrival of Imran Khan, Islamabad police tightened security around the courts. Heavy contingents of police have been deployed outside the courts ahead of the appearance of Khan.
