Afghan Taliban show concern over Rana Sanaullah’s statement of attacking Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD: Showing a strong resentment to Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah’s statement, the interim Taliban government aid they would not allow anyone to attack Afghanistan.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah recently stated in interview that Pakistan could target the TTP hideouts in Afghanistan to dismantle them.

Rana said, “When these problems arise, we first ask Afghanistan to eliminate these hideouts and handover the individuals to us. If that doesn’t happen, then the only option is to target TTP in Afghanistan.”

In recent months, Pakistan has record a sudden surge in terrorist attacks, especially in Khyber Pkahtwnka and Balochistan. This has happened months after the TTP announced to end ceasefire with Pakistan.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto had also stated that Pakistan could take direct action against militants if the Afghan government failed to rein in TTP.

Taliban spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid made it clear that they would not allow anyone to attack Afghanistan.

He said Afghanistan wants brotherly ties with Pakistan and they should be careful in speaking against Afghanistan.

“No country has the right to attack another nation’s territory. There is no legislation in the world that permits such a transgression. If anyone has any worries, they should share them with the Islamic Emirate since it has sufficient forces and can take action,” Mujahid maintained.

Moreover, the Afghan Ministry of Defense said that the statements of Pakistani ministers are baseless and provocative.
