Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has joined a growing conversation surrounding Aurat March after showing support for actor Khaqan Shahnawaz’s views on the movement.
The actress shared a clip from Khaqan’s podcast appearance on her Instagram Story. Through the post, she highlighted his comments about the issues addressed by Aurat March.

“The Aurat March fights for things that are so big… like women having acid thrown on them, femicide happening in Pakistan, and women not even receiving basic rights,” he said.
He further stated that the movement continues to raise awareness about these concerns. Moreover, he questioned why some people choose to “police their language” rather than discuss the problems being highlighted.
According to Khaqan, the focus should remain on issues affecting women rather than only debating the way those issues are presented.
