As many as 33 Pakistani universities have secured places in the Global University Ranking 2026. Notably, nine institutions from Lahore have also made the list.
COMSATS University Islamabad secured the top position among Pakistani universities. Meanwhile, Quaid-e-Azam University ranked second, followed by the University of Lahore in third place.
The University of Management and Technology (UMT) took fourth position. NUST, meanwhile, secured the fifth spot.
Top Pakistani Universities Make Their Mark
The University of Agriculture Faisalabad ranked sixth. Next, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur secured seventh place, while Aga Khan University came eighth.
Punjab University followed at ninth position. In addition, Bahauddin Zakariya University secured the tenth spot.
Government College University Faisalabad ranked 11th. Abdul Wali Khan University came next at 12th position.
Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology secured 13th place. Similarly, International Islamic University ranked 14th, while the University of Central Punjab came 15th.
The University of Peshawar secured the 16th position. After that, GCU Lahore ranked 17th, followed by Air University Islamabad at 18th.
Hazara University secured 19th place. LUMS then completed the top 20 Pakistani institutions in the ranking.
Universities Across Pakistan Feature in List
UET Lahore ranked 21st in the national standings. Meanwhile, the University of Gujrat secured 22nd position.
The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences ranked 23rd. Similarly, the University of Sargodha secured 24th place.
PIEAS followed at 25th position. UET Taxila then ranked 26th, while Bahria University secured 27th place.
The University of Malakand came 28th. Furthermore, the University of Karachi ranked 29th in the list.
Arid Agriculture University secured 30th position. Dow University of Health Sciences followed at 31st, while GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology ranked 32nd.
Finally, Kohat University of Science and Technology secured 33rd place. This completed the list of Pakistani universities included in the 2026 ranking.
