Samsung is preparing to expand its Galaxy S26 lineup with a new smartphone later this month. The company will host its โGalaxy Event August 2026โ on Thursday, August 27.
The event will begin at 5:00 PM UTC and will be available through Samsung’s official website and YouTube channel. Samsung has not yet confirmed the name of the upcoming device.
However, reports and recent leaks strongly suggest that the company will introduce the Galaxy S26 FE.
Galaxy S26 FE Launch Details
Samsung has not officially announced the specifications of the upcoming smartphone. The company is also yet to confirm its final name.
However, leaked information has already revealed several possible details about the device. An EPREL label reportedly provides information about its energy efficiency, durability and battery performance.
According to the leaked label, the Galaxy S26 FE received an A rating for energy efficiency. It also received an A rating for drop resistance.
The device reportedly received a C rating for repairability. These ratings offer an early look at how the phone could perform in different areas.
Galaxy S26 FE Battery Details
The leaked information also provides details about the smartphone’s battery. The battery is reportedly rated to retain its performance for 1,200 charging cycles.
The phone could also deliver around 50 hours of usage on a single charge, according to the leaked label.
For comparison, the Galaxy S25 FE reportedly supports 2,000 charging cycles. It also offers an estimated endurance of around 42 hours and 37 minutes.
If the leaked figures prove accurate, the Galaxy S26 FE could offer longer usage between charges. However, its lower rated charging-cycle figure could be a notable difference.
IP68 Rating Expected
The leaked EPREL information also points to an IP68 rating for the Galaxy S26 FE. This rating would provide protection against dust and water under specified testing conditions.
The feature would also maintain a familiar durability standard across Samsung’s premium smartphone lineup.
However, Samsung has not confirmed these details yet. Therefore, buyers should treat the leaked specifications as unofficial until the company makes its announcement.
Exynos 2500 Chipset Could Power the Phone
One of the biggest expected upgrades involves the phone’s processor. The Galaxy S26 FE is reportedly set to use Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset.
A Google Play Console listing has provided further support for the chipset reports. Other unofficial specifications and leaked images have also surfaced ahead of the expected launch.
The processor upgrade could improve the phone’s overall performance. It may also offer better efficiency and smoother handling of demanding applications.
Still, Samsung has not officially confirmed the chipset or other internal specifications.
Samsung Expected to Reveal Full Specifications
The August 27 event could finally provide clarity about the new Galaxy S26 family member. Samsung is expected to reveal the device’s official name, specifications and features during the presentation.
The company may also announce pricing, availability and other details at the event.
Until then, the Galaxy S26 FE remains surrounded by leaks and speculation. Samsung’s upcoming event should confirm which reported features make it into the final device.
