Security forces killed seven militants, including a suicide bomber, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Nushki district, Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operation targeted a suspected militant hideout after security agencies received intelligence regarding the presence of armed individuals in the area. Moreover, forces recovered and destroyed a cache of weapons and explosives during the operation.
Intelligence-Based Operation Conducted in Nushki
According to ISPR, the operation took place during the night of July 30–31 after reports about the presence of militants allegedly linked to Fitna al-Hindustan.
Security forces launched the intelligence-based operation and carried out what the military described as a prompt and precise action.
During the operation, troops identified and monitored the suspected hideout before moving in. As a result, all seven militants present at the location were killed.
Among those killed was a suicide bomber, the military’s media wing said.
Weapons and Explosives Destroyed
Following the operation, security personnel recovered a quantity of ammunition from the site.
In addition, forces destroyed improvised explosive devices (IEDs) found inside the hideout to prevent their future use.
The military stated that the action successfully dismantled the suspected militant facility operating in the area.
Sanitization Operation Continues
ISPR said sanitization operations are continuing in the surrounding area.
The purpose of the ongoing operation is to ensure that no remaining militants are present and to eliminate any potential security threats.
Security personnel continue to search the area as part of the follow-up operation.
Counter-Terrorism Operations to Continue
The military reiterated that Pakistan’s counter-terrorism campaign under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, will continue.
According to ISPR, security forces remain committed to carrying out intelligence-based operations against militant networks operating in the country.
The latest operation in Nushki is part of those continuing efforts aimed at maintaining security and preventing militant activities in affected areas.
