Police have registered a case after a dog attacked and injured three residents in Kahror Pakka, a tehsil of Lodhran district. Authorities have also launched an operation to trace and eliminate the animal following the incident.
The attack left three people injured and raised fresh concerns about public safety in the area. Police have begun legal proceedings while efforts continue to locate the dog.
Three Residents Injured During the Attack
According to the police complaint, the incident took place on July 29 outside the home of complainant Abdul Sattar.
He told police that his neighbour, Niaz Bibi, had stepped outside her house when the dog suddenly attacked her.
Hearing her cries for help, Abdul Sattar and Ali Raza rushed to rescue her. However, the dog turned on both men and bit them before escaping from the area.
Victims Suffer Multiple Injuries
The attack caused injuries to all three victims. Abdul Sattar sustained injuries to his face, ear and hand.
Meanwhile, Ali Raza suffered an injury to his shoulder. Niaz Bibi received a severe injury to her upper lip during the attack.
All three victims survived the incident, while police documented the injuries as part of the investigation.
Police Launch Search Operation
Following the complaint, police registered a case and initiated legal proceedings. Authorities also launched a search operation to trace the dog involved in the attack.
Officials said efforts are underway to locate and eliminate the animal to prevent any further attacks on residents.
The investigation remains ongoing, while police continue their search in the area.
