The Pakistan Navy has opened registration for PN Cadet Permanent Commission Term 2027-A, offering opportunities in Engineering, Operations and Supply branches.
Eligible male Pakistani citizens can apply online from September 13 to October 11, 2026.
The recruitment process includes an entrance test, medical examination, interview, physical test and ISSB assessment. Students awaiting their FSc results can also apply under specific conditions.
Pakistan Navy PN Cadet 2027-A Registration
Registration for PN Cadet Term 2027-A will remain open until October 11, 2026.
The Navy will calculate candidates’ ages as of May 15, 2027. Applicants must also meet the required educational, physical and citizenship conditions.
Candidates can register through the official Pakistan Navy recruitment website.
Age Limit and Eligibility
The entry is open to male Pakistani citizens.
Civilian applicants must be unmarried and between 16½ and 21 years old. Meanwhile, serving armed forces candidates can apply between 17 and 23 years.
Serving candidates may be married or unmarried. They must also currently serve in uniform.
All applicants must have a minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches.
Educational Requirements
Candidates for Engineering branches must have at least 60% marks in Matric and FSc or O/A Levels.
They must study Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as their pre-engineering subjects.
For Operations and Supply branches, applicants need at least 60% marks in Matric and FSc or equivalent qualifications.
Eligible subject combinations include:
- Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry
- Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science
- Physics, Mathematics and Statistics
Pre-Medical Students Can Apply
Pre-medical students can also apply. However, they must pass additional Mathematics in FSc or A-Level studies before March 15, 2027.
O/A-Level candidates must also submit an IBCC equivalence certificate.
FSc Students Awaiting Results
Students awaiting their FSc results can apply if they have secured at least 65% marks in Part I.
They must submit a hope certificate issued by their college or institute head.
Furthermore, they must complete their FSc, HSSC or equivalent examination before May 15, 2027.
Candidates who fail to achieve the required 60% final marks can face disqualification during selection or training.
How to Apply for PN Cadet 2027-A
Candidates should visit the official Pakistan Navy recruitment website and complete their online registration between September 13 and October 11, 2026.
Applicants must select their initial test date and recruitment centre during registration. The selected date and centre cannot be changed later.
The entrance test fee will be paid on the test day. Candidates should also have basic computer skills because the entrance examination will take place online.
Documents Required
Candidates must bring their original educational certificates and detailed marks sheets to the entrance test.
O/A-Level applicants must also carry their IBCC equivalence certificate.
A CNIC or Juvenile Card is mandatory for the computer-based test.
Applicants must also bring three colour photographs attested by a gazetted officer.
Students applying through FSc Part I results must provide their required hope certificate.
PN Cadet Entrance Test
The Pakistan Navy will conduct a computer-based multiple-choice entrance test.
The intelligence section will include verbal and non-verbal questions.
The academic section will cover English, Mathematics, Physics and General Knowledge.
The Navy plans to publish shortlisted candidates’ results during the fourth week of October 2026.
Physical Efficiency Test Requirements
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a preliminary medical examination, interview and Physical Efficiency Test.
The PET includes:
- Running: 1 mile or 1.6 kilometres in 8 minutes
- Push-ups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
- Sit-ups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
- Chin-ups: 3 repetitions in 2 minutes
Candidates who successfully complete these stages will receive ISSB application forms.
ISSB and Final Selection
Naval Headquarters will shortlist candidates for ISSB tests and interviews on merit.
ISSB centres include Kohat, Gujranwala, Malir and Quetta.
Candidates should check the ISSB website for their reporting date and venue. Applicants who fail to report may not receive another opportunity.
ISSB-recommended candidates will undergo medical examinations at authorised Combined Military Hospitals or PNS Shifa.
Finally, Naval Headquarters will make the selection according to merit.
