Female students in Lahore can learn scooter riding without paying training fees under a new initiative by the Lahore Traffic Police. The two-day programme aims to improve women’s mobility, road safety awareness and independence.
Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Rahim Sheerazi said female students can receive free training at the city’s designated driving schools. He has also directed all school in-charges to arrange free training sessions for eligible participants.
Additionally, school and college administrations can contact the traffic police to organise special sessions for their students. This arrangement gives educational institutions an opportunity to help more women develop practical riding skills.
Where Can Women Get Free Scooty Training in Lahore?
The Lahore Traffic Police has established scooter training facilities at several locations across the city. Female students can access training at the following centres:
- Liberty
- Greater Iqbal Park
- LOS Ferozepur Road
- Manawan
A free driving course for women is also underway at LOS Ferozepur Road. Meanwhile, the traffic police has established separate Gen Z counters at all centres to make services more convenient for female students.
Students can contact the relevant training centre for details about session timings and registration procedures. Schools and colleges can also approach the traffic police to arrange group training sessions.
What Will the Two-Day Scooty Training Cover?
During the two-day programme, expert instructors will provide practical lessons in scooter riding and safe driving. Participants will also learn about traffic laws and the importance of following road safety rules.
The training aims to help female students develop the confidence and skills needed to ride scooters responsibly. Moreover, better awareness of traffic regulations can help participants make safer decisions while travelling on busy roads.
The initiative also supports women who want greater independence in their daily journeys. However, students should confirm the course schedule and enrolment details with the relevant centre before visiting.
Lahore Traffic Police Highlights Women’s Road Safety
According to CTO Syed Abdul Rahim Sheerazi, authorities have issued more than 200,000 driving licences to motorcyclists this year. He also said the traffic police was taking special measures to improve safety for women drivers.
The free training programme forms part of these efforts to encourage responsible riding and improve access to driving education. By offering practical instruction at multiple locations, the traffic police aims to make training more accessible to female students across Lahore.
Women interested in joining should contact the designated centres or ask their school or college administration about arranging a session. They should also confirm the latest availability and registration requirements before attending.
