The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued show-cause notices to Taj Residencia and Saffron City housing schemes.
The action follows an intensified crackdown on alleged violations involving private housing schemes and unauthorized extensions.
Taj Residencia Faces RDA Notice
According to the RDA, Taj Residencia allegedly promoted and booked plots in three blocks outside its approved layout plan.
The authority identified the blocks as Lotus, Cosmos and Blue Bell.
The alleged extension covers areas in Mouza Kak and Sikihpur in Rawalpindi.
The RDA has approved 2,424 kanals for Taj Residencia.
The authority directed its owner to stop the alleged violations and restore the scheme according to the approved plan.
The owner must also submit a response within seven days.
The RDA warned that failure to comply could lead to further legal action under relevant laws.
Saffron City Also Issued Notice
The RDA also issued a show-cause notice to the management of Saffron City.
The authority alleged that the scheme advertised, marketed and booked plots without obtaining the required NOC or sanction.
The RDA has approved 882.85 kanals for Saffron City.
The latest action forms part of the authority’s efforts to prevent unauthorized housing developments within its jurisdiction.
RDA Warns Citizens About Housing Schemes
The RDA has also contacted several government agencies over alleged illegal housing scheme advertisements on social media.
These agencies include NAB Rawalpindi, IESCO, SNGPL, PTCL, the District Collector and the Environmental Protection Agency.
The authority said some private owners and developers were allegedly claiming that their schemes had secured RDA approval.
The RDA advised citizens to verify a housing scheme’s approval status before investing.
It also urged potential buyers to check the official RDA website before purchasing plots.
The authority’s latest notices highlight its continued action against allegedly unauthorized housing schemes and extensions in Rawalpindi.
