The film has now reached $2.452 billion globally, further strengthening Holland’s position among Hollywood’s biggest box office stars.
The movie has also become the third-highest-grossing film of all time. Moreover, it is reportedly moving closer to Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the domestic box office rankings.
The film’s continued performance has given Holland another major boost in his career earnings.
The Odyssey Adds $34.4 Million
Meanwhile, The Odyssey also delivered a strong weekend at the global box office.
The movie earned an additional $34.4 million, taking its worldwide total to approximately $1.68 billion.
With both films performing strongly at the same time, Holland has rapidly expanded his overall box office record.
Holland Overtakes Major Marvel Stars
Holland’s latest achievement also puts him ahead of several major Marvel stars.
Earlier this year, Zoe Saldana briefly held the top position after the success of Avatar: Fire and Ash. Her career box office total reached $15.468 billion.
However, Holland’s latest releases have now pushed his combined total to around $15.5 billion, allowing him to claim the top spot.
Saldana had previously overtaken Scarlett Johansson, whose films earned approximately $15.401 billion worldwide.
Other stars near the top of the ranking include Samuel L. Jackson with $14.6 billion, Robert Downey Jr. with $14.3 billion and Chris Pratt with $14.1 billion.
