Security forces killed three militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij during a fresh intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan. The operation formed part of ongoing efforts to weaken militant networks and eliminate terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Security sources said forces launched the operation after receiving intelligence about militants operating in the area. Authorities conducted the action under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, which supports continued counterterrorism operations across the province.
Fresh Operation Targets Militants
Security sources said recent operations have helped weaken militant networks in the region. They added that security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism and will continue targeting militant groups based on intelligence.
The latest operation came one day after another intelligence-based action in Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday, October 4. During that operation, security forces killed eight militants belonging to Fitna-ul-Khawarij.
Three Key Leaders Among Eight Killed
According to security sources, authorities launched Sunday’s operation after receiving intelligence about the presence of militants in the area. Three key leaders of the militant group were among the eight militants killed during the action.
Security forces also recovered foreign currency, weapons and a large quantity of ammunition from the militants. The recovery further highlighted the scale of the militant network operating in the area.
Authorities said operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision would continue to target militant groups. They said security forces would maintain efforts to eliminate terrorism and establish lasting peace across the region.
