Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has distributed financial assistance cheques worth Rs. 5 million each to the parents of children who died in the PIMS tragedy. He visited the affected families on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
During the visits, Chaudhry met the parents and expressed condolences over the loss of their newborn children. He said no financial assistance could compensate families for such a devastating loss.
Minister Meets Affected Families
Chaudhry said he visited the homes of the affected parents to convey the governmentโs solidarity with them. He added that the financial assistance represented a gesture of support during an extremely difficult time.
The minister also assured the families that the government would continue to address the incident. He said authorities would hold those responsible for the PIMS tragedy accountable.
Government Promises Strict Action
Chaudhry assured the bereaved families that those found responsible would face exemplary punishment. He said the government would take action in accordance with the Prime Ministerโs directives.
The financial assistance aims to provide immediate support to the affected families. However, the minister acknowledged that monetary compensation could not ease the grief caused by the loss of their newborn children.
