Siraj’s Super Six: India Dominates Asia Cup Final, Sri Lanka All Out for 50

ISLAMABAD: In the Asia Cup final on Sunday, pace bowler Mohammed Siraj took six wickets, including four in a single over, as India bowled out Sri Lanka for a meager 50 runs.

In Colombo, Sri Lanka chose to bat first but India bowled them out in 15.2 overs. In their pursuit of another title in this 50-over tournament leading to the upcoming ODI World Cup in India, they found themselves in trouble at 12-5 after five overs.

Jasprit Bumrah, the pace spearhead, took the first wicket by dismissing Kusal Perera for a duck, caught behind in the opening over. Following that, Mohammed Siraj wreaked havoc.

Siraj dismissed Pathum Nissanka for 2 runs and then removed Sadeera Samarawickrama and Charith Aslanka, both for 0 runs, narrowly missing a hat-trick. He continued by getting Dhananjaya de Silva out for 4 runs with just one ball.
