The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a legal notice to South Africa’s Corbin Bosch for allegedly violating his contractual obligations with the board.
Bosch, an allrounder, was selected by Peshawar Zalmi during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 draft in January. However, he withdrew from the tournament after being picked by the Mumbai Indians as a replacement for the injured Lizaad Williams in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The PCB stated that Bosch was chosen by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category during the PSL 10 Player Draft held on January 13 in Lahore. The legal notice was sent through Bosch’s agent, and the player has been asked to explain his actions for withdrawing from his contractual commitments with the PSL.
In its statement on Sunday, the PCB highlighted the consequences of Bosch’s decision to back out of the tournament and expects a response from the South African cricketer within the prescribed time.
Bosch, 30, made his international debut in December and has played two One Day Internationals (ODIs) and one Test match in his brief international career.
PSL 10 will begin on April 11, with defending champions Islamabad United facing Lahore Qalandars in the opening match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The six-team tournament will run until May 18, featuring 34 matches.
