Pakistan is being placed in the Orange Category with partial US travel ban: NYT

Pakistan is reportedly at risk of being placed under the “Orange Category” in the upcoming US travel restrictions list, according to The New York Times.

While Pakistani citizens will not face a complete travel ban, they may encounter stricter scrutiny when applying for US visas. The report suggests that certain visa types could be restricted, allowing only business-related travel under the new category.

In contrast, countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and Lebanon are likely to face a full travel ban, while others, including Libya, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen, are also at risk of being added to the restricted list.

These proposed changes mark a shift in US immigration and travel policies, potentially affecting thousands of Pakistanis seeking entry into the United States.
