Pakistan has been chosen to host the fourth Asian Open Taekwondo Championships.
World Taekwondo Asia will be held in Islamabad from November 1 to 4 this year. It has been confirmed.
People from all over the world will come to Islamabad for this event, as per the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation.
Countries will be able to choose four men and four women to take part in the event in Pakistan’s capital, which will be held next month.
It will be the first Asian Taekwondo event, which will be held in Pakistan. However, Pakistan Open got held last year.
For the Asian Open Taekwondo Championships, Pakistan is still a new country in the sport. They will hold trials to choose their team.
Twenty-five athletes are taking part in a training camp in Islamabad, Pakistan. A Korean coach is one of the people who is training the group.
Pakistan has never sent a boxer to the Olympics, but Haroon Khan was one victory away from making it to Tokyo in 2020 when he lost the under-58 kilograms semi-final at the Games qualifier.
