Pakistan Secures Dominant Victory Over India in World Championship of Legends

In an impressive display at the World Championship of Legends, Pakistan Champions triumphed over their arch-rivals India Champions with a commanding 68-run victory, marking their third consecutive win in the tournament.

The match, held at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham, saw India Champions winning the toss and opting to field. Pakistan Champions posted a formidable score of 243 for 4 in their 20 overs. Key contributions came from Kamran Akmal and Sharjeel Khan, who scored 77 and 72 runs respectively, while Shoaib Maqsood added a blistering 51 runs off just 26 balls. Shahid Afridi was dismissed for a duck, and Shoaib Malik remained unbeaten on 25 runs. Among the Indian bowlers, RP Singh, Anureet Singh, Dhawal Kulkarni, and Poon Negi each took a wicket.

In their chase, India Champions struggled and were bowled out for 175 runs, resulting in a substantial defeat. Ambati Rayudu top-scored with 39 runs, and Robin Uthappa added 22 runs. For Pakistan, Shoaib Malik and Wahab Riaz were the standout bowlers, each taking 3 wickets, while Sohail Khan and Sohail Tanvir also chipped in with a wicket each.

This victory propels Pakistan Champions to the top of the points table with 6 points. The Pakistani team, led by Shahid Afridi, includes Sharjeel Khan, Umar Akmal, Younis Khan, Shoaib Malik, Misbah-ul-Haq, Abdul Razzaq, Wahab Riaz, Sohail Tanvir, Sohail Khan, Abdul Rehman, Aamer Yamin, Tofiq Umar, Shoaib Maqsood, Yasir Arafat, and Tanvir Ahmed.

The Indian team, captained by Yuvraj Singh, comprises Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, Gurkeerat Mann, Rahul Sharma, Naman Ojha, Rahul Shukla, RP Singh, Vinay Kumar, Dhawal Kulkarni, Suryakumar Yadav, Anureet Singh, and Poon Negi.

The World Championship of Legends, sanctioned by the England and Wales Cricket Board, began on July 3rd at Edgbaston Cricket Ground and will run until July 18th.
