Pakistan Secures a Thrilling Victory against Sri Lanka in 1st Test

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan secured a thrilling victory against Sri Lanka in the first Test at Galle. Winning by four wickets and taking a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.

Resuming their run-chase at 48-3, the Pakistan team, led by their skipper and Imam-ul-Haq, displayed dominance and determination throughout the match.

Babar Azam play an impressive innings. Showcasing his flair with 24 runs and five boundaries before being caught by Prabath Jayasuriya. However, it was Imam-ul-Haq who emerged as the star of the nail-biting encounter, guiding Pakistan to victory with a well-deserved fifty in the second innings.

This set up a challenging but achievable target for the visitors, who reached 48 for 3 at stumps on that day in Galle, with another 83 runs needed to take the lead in the series.

The second Test of the series is schedule to commence on Monday, July 24, in Colombo. Fans will be eagerly waiting to see if Pakistan can continue their winning momentum or if Sri Lanka will bounce back to level the series.
