The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the 15-player squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, with no reserves announced yet. Scheduled to commence on June 1, hosted by the USA and the Caribbean, Pakistan’s first match is set for June 6 against the United States at the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas.
The squad selection was finalized following a two-hour meeting of the selection committee, attended by cricket luminaries such as Abdul Razzaq, Asad Shafiq, Babar Azam, Bilal Afzal, Gary Kirsten, Mohammad Yousuf, and Wahab Riaz.

According to a PCB statement, the squad comprises a blend of youth and experience, reflecting extensive preparation and cohesion among the players. The statement also noted the fitness of Haris Rauf, expressing confidence in his pivotal role alongside other strike bowlers in the tournament.
With a formidable track record in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, including victory in 2009 and appearances in the finals in 2007 and 2022, Pakistan is poised for another strong campaign. Additionally, the team’s schedule of matches includes encounters against the USA, India, Canada, and Ireland in the first round, with potential Super Eight matches against D1, C2, and B1 teams if they advance.
