Inzamam-ul-Haq, a former captain of Pakistan’s cricket team, stressed how important Pakistan’s next Asia Cup match against Hong Kong is, saying that Pakistan shouldn’t take Hong Kong lightly.
In the 6th match of the Twenty20 Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan will play Hong Kong on Friday in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The game will start at 7 p.m.
A statement made by the ex-captain on the Geo News show “Jishan Cricket” on Wednesday echoed the sentiments of many fans: no team should be underestimated.
For the game against Hong Kong, Inzamam recommended playing Haider Ali. He urged Pakistan to take a chance on Khushdil Shah and Asif Ali.
He thought Pakistan may have benefited from having a player like Shoaib Malik on the roster. Pakistan lost to India in their opening match in the biggest cricketing event in Asia. Next up for the team is a must-win match against Hong Kong if they want to keep their tournament hopes alive.
On the Jashan-e-Cricket platform with the ex-captain was famous TV actor Shahzad Sheikh. While seated next to Inzamam, he paid tribute by declaring that he is in the “Kanpein Tang Rahi Hain” state.
He continued, “We cannot think about the strain the team faces.” The nation’s hopes have been placed on pacer Naseem Shah, he said.
He continued, “Every member of the team is giving 110% for the country, and they will give even more.”
