Cristiano Ronaldo has recently ventured into the YouTube arena with the launch of his channel, ‘UR Cristiano.’ The globally renowned football superstar is on the brink of reaching 50 million YouTube subscribers and is set to become the first person to amass 1 billion followers across all social media platforms.
Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, already boasts a massive following on other networks: 170 million on Facebook, 112.7 million on X (formerly Twitter), and 637 million on Instagram. With his YouTube subscribers currently exceeding 48 million, his total social media following is approaching an impressive 967 million.
Despite his vast reach, no celebrity has yet hit the 1 billion combined followers mark. Ronaldo, one of the world’s wealthiest athletes, sees his social media presence significantly contribute to his earnings. According to Spanish publication Marca, Ronaldo earned around $100 million within the first 72 hours of launching his YouTube channel.
