Bangladesh Set to Tour Pakistan for Exciting Bilateral Series in May

Bilateral Series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially agreed to tour Pakistan for a bilateral white-ball series, scheduled to take place in May.

This series marks an important step in strengthening cricketing ties between the two nations and will feature three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20 Internationals (T20Is).

According to sources, the matches are expected to be played at three major venues in Pakistan—Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad. These cities have hosted numerous international and domestic matches in recent years and are well-equipped to provide a thrilling cricketing experience for players and fans alike.

The upcoming series is part of the Future Tours Program (FTP), a structured international cricket schedule designed to ensure regular bilateral engagements between teams. Initially, this series was included in the FTP calendar but had to be postponed due to the hectic commitments of both teams, which included international tournaments and domestic leagues.

However, with schedules now aligned, both cricket boards have finalized the tour, ensuring an exciting contest between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

According to a report by Sportstar, the series will commence following the conclusion of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is set to take place from April 11 to May 18. With the PSL wrapping up in mid-May, the Pakistan team will shift its focus to preparing for this highly anticipated home series.

The series also comes at a significant time for Bangladesh cricket, as the team recently experienced a major transition following the retirement of former captain Tamim Iqbal.

Tamim, one of Bangladesh’s most celebrated batters, announced his retirement from international cricket, leaving a leadership and experience gap within the squad. His absence will likely be felt as Bangladesh faces Pakistan in what promises to be a competitive white-ball series.

With the confirmation of this tour, cricket fans from both countries are eagerly anticipating the action. Pakistan, known for its strong home record, will look to capitalize on familiar conditions, while Bangladesh will aim to put up a strong fight and test their skills against a formidable opponent.

As the cricketing world gears up for this exciting contest, all eyes will be on the official schedule and squad announcements in the coming weeks.
