Babar Azam’s Lavish Wedding Shopping Sparks Controversy Amidst Tournament

Reports from Indian media have brought unexpected attention to Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam, suggesting that he recently spent a substantial amount of seven lakh rupees on a designer sherwani for his upcoming wedding.

This development has raised eyebrows in the world of cricket, as it’s unusual for a team captain to engage in wedding shopping during a major tournament. Pakistan, who were World Champions in 1992, arrived in Kolkata just one day before their match against Bangladesh, which they won.

Babar Azam’s wedding is scheduled for the end of this year, and his extravagant purchase has garnered the attention of both fans and critics.

Reportedly, the Pakistani skipper purchased the designer sherwani from the renowned Indian designer boutique, Sabyasachi, known for its exquisite bridal and groom wear. Additionally, he is said to have acquired a significant amount of jewelry from a well-known jewelry maker.

As wedding preparations are in full swing, Azam’s relatives are also deeply involved in the arrangements, as reported by the website.

The timing of his wedding shopping during a crucial international tournament has sparked debates about his focus and commitment to his role as captain. Babar Azam now finds himself at the center of attention not only for his stylish wedding preparations but also for the performance of the struggling Pakistani cricket team, which is striving to make it to the semi-finals.

Safe City Islamabad Teams Up With Sindh Tax Department For Streamlined E-Challan System

In another development, Safe City Islamabad has recently established a connection with the Sindh Excise and Taxation Department, enabling the issuance of electronic traffic violation tickets, as confirmed by a spokesperson from the Islamabad police.

This integration was prompted by the discovery of multiple vehicles displaying Sindh number plates that were breaking traffic regulations within the federal capital. Previously, this presented a challenge as their information was not accessible in the Safe City E-Challan system, impeding the issuance of e-challan citations.

According to the police spokesperson, this collaboration with the Sindh Excise and Taxation Department will significantly simplify the process of issuing e-challan tickets to those who violate traffic laws. Additionally, stricter measures have been put in place to address habitual traffic law violators and individuals who fail to settle their e-challan dues.
