India had set a massive target of 357 runs, with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli leading the charge with centuries. The partnership between the two batsmen yielded 200 runs against a strong Pakistan bowling attack.
Virat Kohli also achieved a personal milestone during the match, surpassing 13,000 runs in one-day internationals.
While the game was at risk of being washed out due to heavy rain in Colombo on the reserve day, it eventually resumed, and India secured a dominant victory.
